Here is a wonderful story of the most creative widow in Seeta, Mukono District. Mirembe Agnes is a 44year old widow, and a mother of 5 kids. Agnes is a trained tailor. She has been able to take care of her children and their school fees, from her tailor business. When covid hit the country in 2019, things turned upside down for Agnes. She couldn't afford rent from Seeta town, and she was then chased out in the room by her Landlord. She then moved her Machines to her house where she resides. Things became so hard for her and her kids. But because no one was there for here to lean on. She started doing her business in her house where she lives. She said her customers couldn't come to her house because her house is far from town. But the few who believes in her creative sacrifice to come to her house. When schools opened recently she couldn't afford to take her kids back to school because she has not been working for nearly 2years now. Though the little she has been getting as she operates at home, was for their daily meals. Agnes said she can make any kind of women dress including wedding dresses (gowns) she also makes school uniforms and children wear s. Agnes says if she get the opportunity to go back and operate her business in Seeta town, she believes her customers will come back and she will be in position to take her children back to school next term. Agnes added that if she can get a modern tailoring machine she will be grateful because she is using the manual one now.

Below is a story of Harriet Nabulya. Harriet is a 44year old single mother. She is a mother of two, a boy and a girl. Harriet was traveling from Masaka to Kampala and the bus she was in was involved in a very terrible accident, and her left hand was than broken and the doctors couldn't do much then to cut it off to avoid further complications. Harriet is now living as a disabled person and a single mother as well. Harriet said she had a man, but since her hand was cut off, she never saw that man upto date. Her 6year old daughter Shadia is the one who helps her in their Sumbuasa business and the house work. Harriet experienced rejection from the society. She said whenever she goes out to look for what to do, people just pity her but don't give her a job because she is disabled. Harriet said if Felfo can offer her the opportunity to have a stationary business like owning a shop where she can sell soft drinks, she will be grateful. She is a very courageous woman and she believes if supported she can do it to her very best. Recorded by Deng Phillip Aguto Felfo volunteer. Uganda .
